We will begin with a short discussion of sumi-e; its techniques
and philosophy.
Next will be an introduction to the use of materials and simple
painting exercises.
We will do abstract and representational work, emphasizing
the use of negative space,
chiaroscuro, and expressive brushwork.
The focus of each workshop will vary at each venue.
